My Story
My path toward becoming a therapist has been shaped by both professional experiences and personal reflection. I have volunteered with nonprofit organizations and hospital settings in the mental health sector, where I saw the importance of compassionate and accessible support. I also work as a Neurofeedback Consultant, supporting children, adolescents, and adults with concerns such as ADHD, autism, and anxiety, which deepened my appreciation for individualized and strengths-based care.
Growing up in a South Asian household, mental health was not something that was openly discussed. I navigated my own mental health challenges and have witnessed loved ones struggle in silence, often due to stigma, cultural expectations, or lack of understanding. These experiences have shaped my values as a developing therapist and fuel my passion for creating spaces where conversations about mental health feel safe, respectful, and normalized.
Grounded in a client-centred and collaborative approach, I strive to meet clients where they are, with empathy, respect, and curiosity. I am dedicated to ongoing learning and to offering care that honours each person’s unique background and lived experiences.
